What Sundays are like...

We know that visiting a new church can be nerve-wracking. We want your fist visit to be as stress-free as possible, so we've gone ahead and answered some questions you may have about our church.

What's the service like?

Our services last a little over an hour, and you can expect to sing, pray, read Scripture together, and hear a message from God's Word. We have coffee and doughnuts available, so come early to grab a cup and make new friends.

What kind of music do you sing?

Our musical worship is balanced in nature with an emphasis on songs rooted in God's Word and character. We sing hymns, psalms, and modern worship songs in a modern presentation.

What about the teaching?

At Hope City, you will find our preaching expository in nature and gospel-centered in content. We focus on simply exposing what the Bible says in each passage while keeping in mind that all passages connect to the overarching story of the whole Bible. Our pastor preaches out of the ESV translation.

What about my kids?

We love kids at Hope City, and we are committed to providing a safe, clean, and fun environment where they can meet Jesus and make friends. We provide a Nursery for our youngest worshippers (0 - 4 years old) for the entirety of our service. We encourage older kids (5 - 11 years old) to worship with their parents and then they are dismissed to an age-appropriate lesson during the sermon.

ROMANS 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Baptist in Tradition

We proudly cooperate with the Southern Baptist Convention for missions locally and around the world. But just because we are Baptist doesn't mean you have to be to find a home at Hope City. We have members from all kinds of denominational traditions.

Outward in Focus

We want to create as many opportunities as possible for our neighbors to see, hear, and respond to the good news of Jesus. This means we go - into our neighborhoods, workplaces, and businesses to meet people where they are.

Gospel-centered in Ministry

Ultimately, we believe that everything the church does has to be centered on the good news of Jesus's life, death, and resurrection. We have been entrusted with a message of hope that is the sinner's only hope for reconciliation and forgiveness. We long for everything we do to flow from that calling.

What "kind" of church we are...

You're probably curious about more than just our Sunday services. Choosing a church home is a big decision, so here's some info about us that you may be curious about.
